Brodilovo :des chiens victimes d'un cruel rituel en Bulgarie, agissez!

Dans le village Brodilovo, à environ 560 kilomètres de Sofia en Bulgarie, un cruel rituel a lieu tous les ans.

On attache un chien en l'air au dessus d'une étendue d'eau à l'aide de corde qu'on fixe à des piquets à chaque extremité, on enroule la corde au maximum et une fois au maximum, ils lachent tout et font tournoyer le chien qui se vide de ses entrailles. (regarder bien la photo et la corde comme elle est enroulée, vous pourrez imaginer la suite des images ).

Les personnes de ce village croient selon une coutume antique, que plus un chien dispersera ses excréments plus l'année sera saine et riche ....     
Et comme d'habitude la souffrance de ces chiens innocents fait rire les spectateurs...

Excellency,

I am sorry to say we are not satisfied at all with the so-called apology of Mr. Dimitur Dimitrov, Mayor of Brodilovo.

This “statement” is not put on original paper and shows no symbols whatever of the issuing authority; it could have been redacted by the Embassy’s cleaning lady or gardener, for all we know. Allow me to say : this is a worthless piece of paper.

In the meantime, we took some information with our Bulgarian friends, and it appears nothing is mentioned in your country about the abolition of this cruel “ritual”. The Bulgarian press remains silent….

Please be aware that there’s no excuse for this tradition – pagan or not: we are living in the 21st century and Europe doesn’t like savage behavior towards animals. If Mr. Dimitrov calls this “loving their animals “ , well this is scaring to us and we prefer not to visit Bulgaria, not to speak of the thought that some day you might be asking to join the European Union!

I’m sure you realize this is not only a case of disgusting cruelty towards dogs, but the whole event is making Bulgaria the laughingstock of the man in the street!

Excellency, please transmit our objections to your Government. Thank you.
